2. Salle du Jour is the excellent, intimate fish restaurant in the Jordaan. Only seasonal fish dishes are served, ensuring all is fresh and eco-friendly. The service is unDutch attentive and personal, creating a pleasant ambiance. This place is worth a visit. Salle du Jour, Prinsenstraat 10, T. 428 24 55 €€

3. RED - At the corner of le quartier antique you will find a modern and stylinshly decorated restaurant: RED. The chefs are specialized in two dishes: lobster and tournedos. These are also the only items on the menu, apart from the side dishes. The food is good, may be more chefs in Amsterdam should stick to 2 dishes? The waiters are friendly; they even welcomed us after midnight and asked the kitchen to prepare two steaks for us. (Kitchen normally closes at midnight). Plan to arrive before midnight? Better make a reservation, as it's often busy here.
